Raiseys Original are really proud to welcome Fraser Gough to our Team. He is a young HB athlete on the rise and is rapidly making a name for himself in NZ Road and Track Cycling.
"I have been cycling for four years now and have won races and tours all across New Zealand, including the national under 17 Time Trial championships. I am a member of the New Zealand cycling team which competed in Australia at the DBR Junior Tour of Canberra where I finished second overall."
Here are some of Frasers recent achievements:
- 2nd New Zealand U19 Road Race 2010
- 2nd New Zealand U19 Time Trial 2010
- 1st New Zealand U17 Time Trial 2009
- 1st 2009 U17 Yunca Junior Tour of Southland-1st Sprint Ace, 2 stage wins
- 1st 2009 New Zealand Secondary Schools Road Cycling Champs Points Race
- 1st 2009 New Zealand Secondary Schools Individual Road Cycling Champs time trial
"My goal is to become a professional cyclist and compete for New Zealand on the track and road at World Championships and Olympic Games. My goal for 2010 is to make it to the Junior track cycling world championships in italy as part of the New Zealand teams pursuit team. I use HYDRATE and ISOL8 which are great!"
Note: Fraser called me the other night to inform me that he had been selected to compete for NZ at the Junior Track Cycling World Champs in Italy later this year, realising one of his short term goals. This will give him an excellent opportunity to gain experience and knowledge and will be a heck of a lot of fun too.
