From humble beginnings in a small kitchen to a brand new purpose built blending studio, we have developed, and continue to develop, our range of high performance but down-to-earth nutrition products we are proud to offer to you. We do things a little different here at Raiseys Original. Every batch is made with love and care here in sunny Napier, New Zealand. Our ingredients come from trusted sources and we are very proud to say the whey protein we use is from grass fed happy, healthy, free roaming local cows. It's the best protein you can get anywhere in the world.

Darryl Raisey: Founder
"Traditional principles like quality, value and service are what we are building this brand on." 
Darryl has been working and excelling in the food and proteins industry for 40+ years and is our formulation wizard and trouble shooting maestro. There really is nothing he can't fix. He was the founder of Bacon & Smallgoods HB Ltd which eventually became Medallion Foods and one of NZs biggest bacon companies. Darryl has extensive knowledge and experience right across the food industry and has always been innovative with his ideas. He is a fine engineer also and custom makes most of our machinery to suit our needs exactly and has always been a bit of a “backyard" inventor/scientist hence some of our products are a bit different to some other brands. Darryl has always stood for Quality, Value and Service and these are the principles that we are building this business on also. Darryl was a keen race car driver and held local hillclimb records in his Mini in the late 60s (one stood for 20+ years) and he was more than handy on the squash court. His pride and joy is his AMG A45 Mercedes Benz and his spare time is usually taken up with doing something “in the shed”, "around the house", or just relaxing "on the couch" (and he’s a great cook!).

Kane is a native of Napier and was often in and around local gyms as a youngster. Having local legends and World Championship Powerlifters Derek and Wayne Pomana (who are still Raiseys customers) at the local gym just developed his interest in fitness even more. Kane played Rugby Union for Knottingley when in England and Rugby League for Pakuranga Jaguars in the Auckland OAR competition. He had a successful motor racing career, winning twice, and placing 2nd three times in various NZ Championships, regularly beating racers who are now NZ/Aust household names. To keep fit, Kane swings kettle bells around every Friday morning and often zips around on his 1975 Honda 50cc scooter. He teaches guitar part-time, is a songwriter in a 2 piece originals band and is also slightly obsessed with all things guitar related.

Aaron was living in South Korea for over a decade and regularly commutes between Napier and Seoul. A keen photographer, Aaron was the President of The Seoul Ex-Pats Photography Club for several years and knows the place inside-out and has a real eye for the details. He brings that eye and "focus" to Raiseys Original. A keen football player in his youth, Aaron represented Hawkes Bay at age group level and was still playing in Seoul up until a few years ago. He has a Bachelor of Information Technology and has been an engineer and also a software architect in previous careers. If you want to talk to someone about International sales of Raiseys products then Aaron is the guy to talk to.

Aman is the newest team member here at Raisey's. He has an acute business mind and focus and has already added massive value to our business, spearheading our rebrand and product formulation updates, undertaking market research in NZ and India and working to open doors for Raiseys throughout Asia and Australia. He has recently completed his Masters Degree of Business & Management at Waikato University, crowning it off by winning an International MBM "Dragons Den" competition, showcasing his strategic skills and relating them to the health and fitness industry. He also completed and internship with the INTENT Group, helping them with their publication, National NZ Productivity Report. He is a fitness and martial arts enthusiast, animal lover and he never sleeps!
